Gales, Heavy Rain, Heavy Showers Risk Of Thunderstorms

Advisory:

Valid from 06:30 Saturday 24th October until 21:30 Saturday 24th October

  • Windspeeds of 16 to 60 mph
  • Wind Direction: SW

Hi everyone,

We are expecting a period of heavy rain and strong to gale force winds for a time during Saturday.

The winds will be strongest on exposed Southwest facing coasts and hills.

The rain will steadily push East during the mid-morning and early afternoon with blustery showers following on behind.

Disruption to travel possible with restrictions on bridges to high-sided vehicles and debris on our roads.

Localised flooding and a lot of standing water is possible so additional care needed if having to drive during the adverse weather watch period.

This could be upgraded to a Yellow Weather Warning in the coming hours by the Met Office to watch we will amend the advisory inline.
